Research question

What impact do organizing and reminder technological tools have in the reduce of food waste at home?

Reason why I selected this project

I found Nosh quite intereseting since it has an impact in an individual manner and also business related. Nosh users can make smarter grocery stores and improve their lifestyle thanks to the different cooking recipes according to their personal likes; local grocery stores will also avoid having surplus and increase revenue

User Scenario

Users + Persona

People mainly between 20-35 years old who are interested in saving money and have the time and interest to cook new recipes
Example: Luke is 21 years old and is a college student living in Lyon. He has a monthly budget for food and constantly throws away food because he forgets their expiring date. He'd also like to learn how to cook more dishes and loves discounts.

Technical Analysis

General principle

Nosh collects users' data corresponding to food purchases to ease monitoring expiring dates and reduce food waste. By collecting users' patterns and preferences, Nosh also creates customised recipes one can cook with the aid of AI; thanks to API technology, Nosh also connects the user with local grocery stores that have discounts in their products

Technical overview

Thanks to the application of Partner APIs, Nosh is able to connect users with local grocery stores to establish a win-win relationship. It also enables the display of cooking recipes according to the products the user has in stock. Additionally, the upload of products in a much easier and faster way by scanning their bar code and receipt. The previous features are accomplished thanks to the barcode scanning that triggers the model and is constantly retrieving the data from the user and running analytics
